Ron McCarty is a realist watercolor artist specializing in botanical, wildlife, and children's fantasy. His paintings range in size from a single study 8" x 10" to a complex full scene 40" x 60".

Having grown up in the Midwest, Ron was exposed to many aspects of nature in and around the woods near his home in Missouri. His painting has been greatly influenced from living in Kansas City, with it's sophisticated fine arts community. At an early age, it was an honor for Ron to have been represented by The Johnson-Welsh Gallery, a prestigious gallery featuring Thomas Hart Benton.
